Mufti Umar Farooq Shah is a known shari’ah scholar from Pakistan. He did his Master of Arts in Islamic Studies and Ashahada-Tul-Almiyya from Jamia Islamia Minhaj Ul Quran International. After that, he did his M.Phil in Islamic Banking & Finance from Minhaj University Lahore. He did his Tkhasus Fil Fiqh wal Ifta (Islamic Jurisprudence) from Jamia Islamia Minhaj Ul Quran. He is a Ph.D. scholar in Islamic Economics & Finance. He has a strong command of Tafseer Ul Quran, Uloom Ul Hadith, Islamic Jurisprudence, Islamic Philosophy, Sharia Law, Spiritualties (Tasawuf), and in Arabic and English languages. He is teaching as a Senior Lecturer at Minhaj University Lahore since 2018. He is teaching Quran classes on a global level since 2013. He is an expert in Tajweed and Qiraat. He is Co-founder of Faqeer Ullah Islamic Institute in Ireland. He is also a social worker, doing work for needy and oppressed people in society without discrimination of race and religion.
